Meet Rev. Gina Fernandez

Retired Navy Chief. Chaplain. Author. A woman who knows what it
takes to see yourself clearly again.
Rev. Gina Fernandez equips people wounded by rejection, dysfunction, and loss to see themselves clearly and live on purpose.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Gina enlisted in the United States Navy after high school. She served for 22 years and retired as an Information Systems Technician Chief Petty Officer with a Surface Warfare qualification.
After the Navy, she answered a second call. She earned a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Valdosta State University and a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Luther Rice. Today she serves as a chaplain fellow at Emory and as Associate Minister, Intercessory Prayer Leader, and Sunday School Teacher at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, Georgia.
Gina founded JanayMichelle LLC in 2016 to encourage and empower people to recognize their value, reclaim their identity, and rediscover their self-worth. She is the author of two books and the mother of two daughters and a proud grandmother.
